Throughout their 21 years at Sommerhaven Farm, Todd and Stephanie Sommer, along with their kids, have been nurturing dogs, cats, chickens, horses, ponies and one very special saddle donkey named Wayland.

Birdie - a kind and quiet Tennessee Walker mare
Max - a big sweetie pie Clyde X
Flash - a lovely palomino paint gelding
Wayland - a 14.3hh saddle donkey who adores attention
Kinta - a paint pony with a heart of gold ( currently leased off property )

Stephanie has been riding for most of her life and has been a proud horse ‘mom’ since the age of 18 (a long time ago). She was an educator of blind/visually impaired students with YRDSB for 31 years, all the while riding, taking lessons, teaching riding and caring for horses at home. Recently retired from YRDSB, Stephanie is thrilled to b
Stephanie has been riding for most of her life and has been a proud horse ‘mom’ since the age of 18 (a long time ago). She was an educator of blind/visually impaired students with YRDSB for 31 years, all the while riding, taking lessons, teaching riding and caring for horses at home. Recently retired from YRDSB, Stephanie is thrilled to begin focussing fully on continued learning, teaching and sharing her passion for humans and equines. She is aregistered coach with Equestrian Canada.
